Notes about Pieter Hesselinck

Filitatie niet bewezen.Bombazijnwerker te Deven (Deventer). (Menn.Encycl.Suppl.,1c,sub voce
Hesselink). In een Bocholter Kroniek staat vermeld, dat tussen 1600 en 1632 155 protestantse en
in 1611 18 mennonietische families op bevel der regering uit Bocholt zijn verdreven. Dit zou een
verklaring kunnen zijn voor de verhuizing van Pieter Hesselink in 1623 van Bocholt naar Deventer.
Daar heeft hij het burgerrecht verkregen. Op 11-10-1649 is hij naar Haarlem verhuisd, waar hij
lid is geweest van de Oud Vlaamsche Gemeente van Haarlem en Zaandam zoals blijkt uit een bewijs
van zijn broederschap, afgegeven op 12-03-1656, in verband met zijn terugkeer naar Deventer.
