Funeral Services for Odell Glover, 86, Athens, are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Thursday, July 24, 2008 at Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home Chapel in Athens with Bro. Erick Graham and Matt Hollingsworth officiating. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Athens.

Mr. Glover died July 21, 2008 in Athens.

He was born October 14, 1921 to the late James Benjamin and Mary Josie Malone Glover in Murchison, Texas.

Mr. Glover was the owner of Glover's Grocery Store in Athens for 40 years. He enjoyed ranching and gardening and was a member of Sand Springs Baptist Church for many years. He served in World War II for the United States Army and was rewarded four battle stars and one bronze star.

Preceded in death by sister Maggie Lee Hill, brothers Benny Ross Glover, and Arlie Glover.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years Audrey Glover, Athens, daughter, Sherian Phillips, Athens, son, James Glover, Tyler, granddaughters, Sandie Chatterly Murphree, Leigh Anne Hitt, Staci Greene all of Athens, grandsons, Glen Phillips, Athens, David Ryan Glover, Arlington, James Chatterly, Athens, great granddaughters, Racel Bush, Alisha Chatterly, both of Forney, Audrey Greene, Marshall, great grandsons, Ken Chatterly, Athens, Kyle Crumrine, Marshall, great-great grandson, Adrien O'Neal Smith, Forney, numerous nieces and friends.

Pallbearers are Lynn Wymore, Mark Cincar, Travis Mason, John Brungot, Harvey Ricks, and Bill Valentine.

Honorary Pallbearers are Bill Bell, Richard Harris, and Dr. Doug Curran.
