Klara Pampel was een dochter van Mozes Pampel en Saartje Digtmaker. Zij trouwde op26 Februari 1914 in Amsterdam met Nathan Plukker, een zoon van Salomon Plukker en Hanna Kornalijnslijper. Het echtpaar kreeg drie kinderen: Salomon, Maurice een een dochter die samen met haar man de oorlog heeft overleefd, echter niet hun kleine zoontje Joseph Elzas.

Klara kwam uit een familie met tien kinderen. Een broertje en zusje zijn op hele jonge leeftijd al overleden en haar broer Abraham stierf in December 1941 in Amsterdam en is in Diemen begraven op de Joodse Begraafplaats aldaar. Haar andere zusters, t.w. Betje, Schoontje, Roosje, Rachel, Esther en Eva zijn tijdens de Holocaust om het leven gekomen.
