Harm F. Bruns was born 18 June 1853 at Bunderhammrich / Weener / Ostfriesland. He immigrated in 1882 to Melbourne, IA. In 1886, he moved to South Dakota and married Geeske Kuper. He died 5 May 1905 of lung disease. Relatives: wife, 6 children. A brother, Jan F Bruns died 3 months ago. Abel Kloppenburg & wife Cathrina née Bruns of Melbourne, IA, at the same time as the only surviving sister of the deceased and children. "Because the statement is a little ambiguous, Herr Boyken left the quotation about Harm's sister stand in its original form." The extract is from the obituary found in # 18 of the 1905 edition of the Ostfriesische Nachtrrichten newspaper. (Information provided by 6th cousin David Navorska)
