Jesse James Orrell (son of Albert) was married to May Dee SMITH, daughter of Samuel Hampton Smith (b 22 Aug 1867 and d 6 Feb 1907) and Martha Buck (b April 1875). May Dee may be Mary Dee, as it is listed both ways in various places. She was b 13 Aug 1892,d 18 April 1919. Family stories say she died after Jesse kicked her in the stomach while she was pregnant. Both she and the baby died. Jesse and May were married 24 Sept 1911, in Big Mazzarn, Mills twp, Garland Co, AR. After May's death, Jesse remarried Myrtle Harvey. Family stories also say Jesse died of blood poisoning from a bullet wound rec'd while holding up a store. After Jesse's death, Myrtle did not want to provide for his children with May, so various relatives took them in. There were 3 children, Dewey, Ethel, and my husband's mother, Ona Marie. Marie was taken in by, and adopted by, Mary Alice (Mamie) McCaslin Huddleston. Mamie was the daughter of John David McCaslin, son of Mariah Orrell McCaslin and James McCaslin.
