Thomas Wolbert the son of George G. Wolbert Sr. and Renske "Sarah" (Kuiken) Wolbert was born June 27, 1876 on the family farm near Cawker City, Kansas.

On December 17, 1903, Thomas married Aleida Gertruida Bruggers daughter of Hendrik Jan Bruggers and Johanna Gertrude (TeSelle) Bruggers. To this union were born four children:

Della Gertrude Wolbert

Thomas, like his father before him, was a farmer. He and Aleida lived in Jewel County, Kansas.
