Phyllis C. Berry
(July 29, 1925 - May 21, 2012)

Phyllis C. Berry, age 86, resident of Syracuse, passed away Monday at her home. She was born July 29, 1925 in Buchanan, Michigan, the daughter of Daniel M. and Pearl V. Camfield Carlisle. Phyllis graduated as Salutatorian of the Buchanan High School Class of 1943. She entered the United States Navy in 1945 and served as an Aerographer's Mate in Pensacola, FL. Phyllis married Harvey Berry in 1946, and they moved to Syracuse in 1947. Phyllis did clerical work for Sears, R.E. Dietz, Insurance Services Office, Key Bank, and Syracuse Savings Bank. She was also a stay at home mom.
Surviving: two daughters, Charlotte (Frank) Grabowski of Fulton, NY and Ellen (Cliff) Davis of Ellisburg, NY and one son, Daniel (Leone) Berry of Grapevine, TX, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 12 p.m., noon, Friday, at the Foster- Hax Funeral Home 52 Park Street, Pulaski with burial in Ellisburg Cemetery. Calling hours will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. prior to the funeral. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to, PACE CNY, 100 Malta Lane, North Syracuse, NY 13212.
