    Nuey en zijn broer Willem erven de water- en windmolen in Heelsum met hof en huis. Ze moesten echter de andere kinderen uitkopen voor 22.226 gld.
    Het huwelijk van Nuey met Anna Maria betekende het einde van de samenwerking met zijn broer Willem. Nuey kocht van Willem voor 4121 gld zijn deel van de molen en huis en zette het bedrijf alleen voort.

    Dit echtpaar was de eerste papiermakersfamilie in Heelsum e.o.
    Gedurende de 19e eeuw hebben hun invloedrijke nakomelingen niet alleen dit vak daar nog uitgeoefend, maar zij bekleedden diverse (politieke) bestuurlijke functies, zowel lokaal als elders.

    Er zijn nog diverse grafzerken van de familie aan de Westzijde van de kerk van Heelsum.
