"Joseph Judd, son of Thomas Judd of Hartford, had land in Farmington and Hartford. He married Elizabeth Royce, daughter of Robert Royce, of Wallingford, Nov. 10, 1726. His first child, Issac, was born in West Hartford, Nov. 18, 1727, and was baptized in that parish. About the year 1728, Joseph Judd removed from that place, and immediately, or in a few years, settled in Waterbury, where he died Feb. 16, 1750, and his widow, May 14, 1770. The inventory of his estate was L740. Clear estate, 405L. His children are all recorded in Waterbury."
