MI Ightham Churchyard, North side of the church - 24. John COGGER of this Parish 3 April 1766 aged 46 years. Also William Cogger of the Parish of Seale died 12 May 1767 age 38 years John's tombstone (he was obviously wealthy enough) gives his age as 50, although he was actually only 46 at the time. In his will (dated 6 September 1763 and proven 20 August 1766: PROB11/921) he refers to himself as "late of Ightham, now of Seal". He asks to be buried at Ightham, and bequeaths to his brother William 200 guineas due to him from John Cronk of Old Berry Hill in the parish of Ightham. He leaves 100 guineas to his friend Richard Walter Senior of Seal, and the remainder of the estate to William. Richard Walter is the executor.
