He had 29 months of combat in the Pacific with the Japanese. He had the rank of a Tec. Sergeant or E7. He also received 5 Bronze Battle Stars. Discharged January 1946 as a Corporal. June & Fred were cousins by marriage. He was the father of two children. A graduate from Benson High in Portland, Oregon. Fred and June had a mutual separation in 1982, but are presently married, and became the best of friends after the separation.
