Uit trouwboek Gereformeerde Gemeente boek 26 1650-1803 blijkt dat Johannes Jan al eerder gehuwd is geweest, hij wordt daar vermeld als weduwnaar en woonde aan de Stinksloot in Rotterdam.
Het huwelijk is aangetekend op 01-10-1730 in Rotterdam.

In de Kwartierstaat van van Kessel- Luyerink ( in Naartden bij het N.G.V.) staat onder voetnoot 24 dat in de O.N.A Rotterdam
2375 d.d. 18-7-1743 noemt men hem als mans van Maria Cornelisse Slobbe met anderen kind van Hilligje Hendricks.

Toen hij overleed woonde hij aan de Stinksloot bij de Vogelesang en is 6.00 gulden betaald voor klasse begrafenis.
