Notes about Vrouwtje van Vuure

Nadat moeder Hilletje van Zaanen-Tromp in 1917 overleed, waren de kinderen wees. Ze werden bij familie ondergebracht. Pie schrijft hierover in haar Herinneringen:

 

“Na de begrafenis moest er gesproken worden hoe we verder moesten gaan. Teun moest in militaire dienst. Tet ging meteen trouwen [met Maarten van Vuure]. We ontvingen een brief uit Z’dam dat ik [Pie, ze was 13 jaar]  bij tante Vrouwtje [van Vuure] en oom Piet [Dierdorp] kon komen en Klaas en Gré [van Vuure - van Zanen] namen Pau [van 9 jaar] en Jaap [van 6 jaar] in hun gezin op. Ger [van Vuure, de vader van Marianne] was toen 2 jaar. Een enorm goede daad van mijn oudste zuster en haar man. (…). 

 

Begraven in Zaandam - ze overleed in Vlissingen - op 8 april. Volgens Pie van Zaanen overleed ze op 5 april, niet op de 4de. Op een van de foto staat de huishoudster van Teun: Elfie Bakels, dat moet zijn Efie Bakels. Uit dagboek Pie van Zaanen: Oja, laat ik nu eerst over m’n pleegmoeder vertellen. Toen we nog in de Const. Huygenslaan woonden, werd het grote bejaardencentrum “Ter Reede” gebouwd en ernaast mooie flatjes. Daar konden ook mensen uit andere plaatsen in komen. Het waren erg gezellige flatjes en c. verwarmd. Daar kwam moeder Vrouwtje in te zitten in Febr. 1958. Ze was toen vlak bij ons in de buurt, maar wij vertrokken Juli 1958 naar de P. Krugerstr. Dat was ongeveer 20 min. lopen, maar dat kon ze wel, dus Zondags (onleesbaar) .. ons. En ik ging elke Donderdagmiddag naar haar toe om te scrabbelen. Dan kwam Jaap na schooltijd en dronken we een kopje koffie en vóór zessen fietsten we huiswaarts. Ze hield veel van kinderen en zat soms ook voor onze kleink. vóór te lezen en met hun te spelen. Totdat ze in de herfst van 1964 erg vermoeid was. De huisarts zei, dat ze zich erg rustig moest houden, want haar hart werd zwak. Nou, dat voelde ze zelf wel. Ze zei een keer tegen Piet, die vroeg, hoe of ’t met haar ging: de wekker loopt af. Toe zei Piet: nou dan moet u ‘m opwinden! Maar ze schudde haar hoofd. Ze is de eerste maanden nog op de been gebleven, maar in Febr. is ze toch in bed gebleven. Ze wilde beslist niet naar ’t ziekenhuis. We vonden het vervelend, want ’s nachts lag ze natuurlijk alleen. Overdag kwam er vaak een buurvrouw, om een kopje koffie, of zo te brengen en ik ging er vaak ’s morgens even heen, om iets te brengen, waar ze trek in had. In Maart zagen we haar krachten verminderen. En de 5e April is ze overleden (hersenbloeding). De 8e April werd ze in Zaandam begraven.
