In het jaar 1875, kwam als noodhulp bij het Alkmaarse Kaasdragersgilde Piet Ris, een vorse man, met een vorse witte baard met zwarte stippen en had al gauw de bijnaam GŠ???????de SchimmelGŠ????????, zijn dagelijkse werk was stoker bij de Alkmaarse Gasfabriek op de Paardemarkt. In het jaar 1889 werd hem een zoon geboren, die hij naar zichzelf vernoemde; Piet Ris jr.
Op 12 december 1925 beleefde Piet Ris sr het 50jarige jubileum bij het Alkmaarse Kaasdragersgilde, hij ontving hiervoor van de gemeente Alkmaar een zilveren penning van verdienste.
