Geertijn wordt daarmee de stiefmoeder van Aalderts zoon Jan van Almelo. Deze Jan Aalderts (Alberts) zal introuwen
op 't erve Hobers in Ane en de naam Hobers 'aannemen'. Zo komt de naam Hobers opnieuw in de stamlijn van de Nieuw-Amsterdamse tak van de familie Hobers.
Aalderts grootmoeder Jannigjen Hobers kwam ook al van die boerderij.
