De ouders van de bruid waren aanwezig en gaven hun toestemming.
Getuigen waren Lambertus van de Worp, oud 30 jaar, spoorwegbeambte wonende te Arnhem, Evert Meggelenbrink, oud 28 jaar, Lammert Meggelenbrink, oud 25 jaar en Hermanus Teering, oud 33 jaar. De laatste drie arbeiders wonende te Rheden.
De bruid en haar moeder verklaarden niet te kunnen schrijven.
Tevens werd een kind erkend en gewettigd: Aleida, geboren 13 februari 1887 te Angerlo.

TOESTEMMING TOT HET AANGAAN VAN EEN HUWELIJK
Op grond der aanschrijving van het Departement van Oorlog, dato 24 Mei 1884 VIIe Afd. Militie en Schutterij No. 68, verleent de commandeerende oficier van opgemeld korps, namens den Minister van Oorlog bij deze toestemming tot het aangaan van een huwelijk aan den milicien Dorland, Jacob Plaatsvervanger der lichting van 1885, uit de gemeente Winterswijk, provincie Gelderland.
De verlofganger wordt er aan herinnerd, dat hij, door het aangaan van een huwelijk, in geen geval wordt ontheven van het volbrengen der plichten, welke hij, krachtens de militiewet, heeft te vervullen, zoodat hij, uit dien hoofde, ook niet zal kunnen worden vrijgesteld van de opkomst in werkelijken dienst, waartoe hij wordt opgeroepen, onverschillig voor welk der navolgende gevallen die opkomst moet plaats hebben:
a. bijwoning van herhalingsoefeningen;
b. wegens overtreding van de voorschriften der Militiewet;
c. tot samenstelling van het blijvend gedeelte der Militie;
d. in geval van oorlog of andere buitengewone omstandigheden, bedoeld bij Art. 185 der Grondwet.
