Maerten Jorisz., bleek, zoals hiervoor reeds werd aangegeven, samen met zijn moeder, grondbezitter te zijn in het Middelblok, een polder onder Gouderak. In enkele kleine aktes wordt hij nog genoemd: 3-5-1558: Maerten Jorisz. heeft een
kleine schuld bij Willem Jansz., bakker te Gouda.1" 23-8-1558: Maerten Jorisz. is betrokken bij een niet nader omschreven kwestie met Jacobken Heynrick Jansz.'s weduwe.18 Maerten Jorisz. was op 1-12-1592 niet meer in leven.5 Zijn zoons regelen dan het eigendom van het vaderlijk grondbezit 'al te samen groet seven mergen den hoop sonder maet, leggende in 't Middelblock'. Als zoons worden genoemd: Joris, Jan, Aert en Wouter. Wellicht behoorden ook dochters tot het gezin. Van zoon Joris zijn althans twee zwagers bekend: Pleunis Willemsz. en Marcus Dircksz.
