Margaret Helena (Berendzen) Hake, age 91, of Mary's Home, Mo., died Wednesday, December 22, 2004, in Mary's Home.
She was born December 3, 1913 to Herman Fredrick and Sophie Elizabeth (Lepper) Berendzen. She was married on May 20, 1930 to Albert "Bud"Henry Hake, who preceded her in death on March 17, 1983.
She was a member of Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church of Mary's Home, the Legion of Mary, and the Ladies Sodality. She was employed as a cook at Our Lady of the Snows School for 11 years. She worked at Ralston Purina for two years and retired from Cheseborough Ponds in 1972 after eight years of employment.
Survivors include: one granddaughter, Karla (Hake) Libbert and her husband Jim; four grandsons, Alan Hake, Charles Hake, Wayne Lepper & his wife Shonda, Dennis Lepper; three great-grandchildren, Shane Libbert, Makayla Lepper, and Makenzie Lepper; one daughter-in-law, Cordie (Hake) Hibdon; and one son-in-law, Andrew Lepper. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one son, Alfred Hake; one daughter, Anna Marie Lepper; and by two brothers, August Berendzen and George Lepper.
Visitation will be held 4-8 p.m. on Sunday, December 26 at Phillips Funeral Home, Mary's Home. The Rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, December 27 at Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church, Mary's Home, with theRev. Clarence Wiederholt officiating. Burial will be in Our Lady of the Snows Cemetery, Mary's Home.
Memorials are suggested to the Hospice of Jefferson City or OATS, Inc.
