WINNEBAGO, Wis. - Norma Vande Streek, 85, of 725 Butler Ave., Winnebago, Wis., and formerly of Waupun, died Sunday, Jan. 24, 1999, at the Park View Health Center, Winnebago, Wis.
The funeral was Friday, Jan. 29, at the Kohls Community Funeral Home, Waupun. The Rev. John Brogaard officiated. Burial was in Highland Memory Gardens, town of Trenton.
Mrs. Vande Streek was born Aug. 6,1913, in Waupun, daughter of Henry and Augusta (Krueger) Johnson. She was married to William Vande Streek in 1932.
She was a longtime resident of Waupun, retired with her husband to the Omro, Wis., area, and founded with her husband the Vande Streek Coal and Oil Company of Waupun. She was a former bookkeeper for Johnson Trucking Company in Waupun, was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Omro, Wis., and a former longtime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Waupun, and a graduate of Waupun High School.
Survivors include one son, Jerome (Darlene) Vande Streek of Waupun; four grandchildren, Sue (Paul) Yaskanich of Mt. Vernon, Wash., Sharon (Robert) Foley of Hayward, Calif., Kathy (Mark) Popp of Mt. Juliet, Tenn., Karen Vande Streek of San Antonio, Texas; six great-grandchildren, Christopher, Amy, Paula, Jonathan, Ashley and Kimberly; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William in 1985; and
one brother, Verdie Jnhnson.
