Complication Cause Death of Aldrich Weintraut, 48
Aldrich Weintraut, 48 year old Decatur county farmer and Shelby county native, died this morning at 7:45 o'clock. He had been ill since last December and his condition had been serious for one week.
The son of Frank and Crecentia (Fisher) Weintraut, he was born in Shelby County on October 18, 1910.
On April 3, 1934, he was married to Philomena Leising who survives with the parents and five children, Thomas, David, Daniel, Stephen and Rita Claire Weintraut all at home. Also surviving are one brother and four sisters, Ira Weintraut and Mrs. Regina Beyer of Waldron, Mrs. Cecelia Belter of Greensburg, Mrs. Florence Powell of Fairland and Mrs. Bernice Fisher of near Waldron.
Mr. Weintraut was a member of the St. Paul Catholic Church.

Weintraut Rites Are Arranged
Funeral services have been arranged for Aldrich Weintraut, 48, Shelby county native who died Tuesday morning after a five month illness.
The rites will be held at the St. Vincent Church Friday with a Solemn High Mass at 9:00 a. m. Rev. M. A. Topmiller will be the celebrant and will be assisted by Rev. Maurice DeJean of Cannelton, as deacon, and Rev. Anthony Seger, as sub-deacon. Burial, in charge of the Carmony Funeral Home of St. Paul, will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at the late home one-half mile east of St. Omer at any time. Prayer services will be held at the home Thursday at 7:00 p. m. (The Shelbyville News, April 19, 1950)
