Marcel Joseph Casadaban entered into eternal rest on Friday, March 27, 2015, at the age of 85. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Margaret Ann Albanese Casadaban and daughters, Marcelle Marie Casadaban Highstreet (David) and Amanda Marie Casadaban D'Arcourt (Don). Devoted grandfather of Mollie Marie and Emily Marie Highstreet and Alexander Michael D'Arcourt. Survived by brother Andre Casadaban. Preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Anna Alspach Casadaban, and brother, Paul. Marcel was born on September 4, 1929. He was a proud World War II Army veteran who served in the 25th Infantry Division, 27th Infantry Regiment, Company C. As part of an airborne company, Marcel parachuted into the Philippines before the invasion. He also fought in the Battle of Okinawa and was stationed in Japan during the occupation. After returning to civilian life, he was employed by South Central Bell for 32 ½ years until his retirement. An active member of the American Legion (Broadmoor Post 215), La Société des Quarante Hommes at Huit Chevaux (Voiture 108), the Veterans of Foreign Wars (Post 3267), and the Military Order of the Cootie Pup Tent 19.
