72) Regesten der Erzbischöfe, II, no. 1386 § 42. Gerhard of Diest would meanwhile draw an equivalent
rent from estates at Lechenich. The most advanced discussion is by Matscha, Heinrich I. von Müllenark, 71-8, who on this point follows Möller, Stamm-Tafeln, II, 146. However, Gerhard of Diest's wife is unlikely to
be Sophie, since the source does not repeat her name in connection with him. Ermengarde, apparent wife of
Count Hermann of Saffenberg-Müllenark (both mentioned in the "Knechtstedener Mortuar," see Gosses,
"Knechsteden," 49, with erroneous attribution to thirteenth-century persons of non-comital rank), is
presumably a sister of Sophie and Jutta, and Gerhard of Diest's wife would be Ermengarde's daughter.
