Frank, Herbert (13 Oct 1891 - 20 Mar 1987) Wartime Locations: France, Switzerland. Anne's uncle in France, Otto's younger brother. Herbert was born in Frankfurt. He worked in the Michael Frank Bank on and off, mainly 1923 - 1932. He, Erich Elias, and Otto, made a short banking business venture in the Netherlands in the 1920's. He moved to France and survived the war by escaping to Switzerland. He died in Basel in 1987 (CE89 p. 2-4; AF:B family tree).
On April 12, 1922, Herbert August Frank married an American, Hortense Rah Schott, living in Aachen. The marriage produced no children and ended in divorce on August 16, 1932.
