"Mrs. Bert DeYoung died at her home in Banks township Saturday morning of apoplexy. She had the first stroke on March 25 and gradually grew worse. She was 61 years old, and was born in Holland. Besides her husband, she leave 8 children to mourn her loss. The funeral was held from the Holand church, near Atwood; burial in Holland cemetery. Rev Burgraaff conducted the service."
