Mr. and Mrs. Heiko (Heike Klap) Clapp, 903 West 2 Street, will celebrate their golden anniversary next Sunday with an "open house" at the Cedar Falls Women's Club from 2 to 4:30 p. m. Hosting the event will be Mr. and Mrs. Richard Goughnour of Peoria, Illinois. Mrs. Goughnour is the couple's grand-
daughter. There is one great grandaughter.
Miss Lena Blauw became the bride of Mr. Clapp June 3, 1921 in the Netherlands. No invitations will be sent and the couple requests no gifts. Mr. Clapp is retired from Universal Hoist.

at 2 p. m. Monday at First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. James
Brasel, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery.
Mr. Clapp died at 9:45 p. m. Thursday at Sartori Hospital of cancer.
He was born Oct. 21, 1897 in The Netherlands, son of Heiko and Ann
(Kolthof) Clapp. He married Elliene Blauw on June 3, 1921 in the
Netherlands. Mr. Clapp and his wife moved to the United States
in 1929. He farmed in the Cedar Falls area until 1952, then moved to
his Cedar Falls home at 902 West 2nd Street.
Mr. Clapp is survived by one grandchild and two great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two daughters, three brothers,
and one sister.
