  Mrs O J (Rose Marie) DeJonge, 81, of 114 N Emily St, died at 11 pm Sunday at Memorial Medical Center following an illness of four months.
  
  Rose Marie Boone was born Feb 8, 1902 in Zeeland. She was married July 21, 1925 in Zeeland to O J DeJonge who survives. She was a graduate of Western Michigan University where she majored in education and music and she taught at Washington School in Holland.
  
  She lived in Ludington for 39 years moving here in 1944 from Shelby. She was a member of Community Church of Ludington, the S G S Club of Community Church, the Mason-Lake County Retired Teachers Association, the Women's Literary Club, the Claribelle Knapp Mending Group of Memorial Medical Center. She was also a member of several bridge groups and a member of Pere Marquette Chapter 327, Order of Eastern Star. She was past matron of Shelby Chapter OES.
  
  Surviving, in addition to her husband, are one son, Dr B R DeJonge of Grand Rapids; one daughter, Mrs Norma Jean Weening of Farmington Hills; seven grandchildren, Mrs Lynn Ellen (DeJonge) Schaefer of Kalamazoo, Mrs Kathy Sue (DeJonge) Latta of Wyoming, Mich, Mark O DeJonge and Duane B DeJonge, both of Grand Rapids, Mrs Robert (Michelle Weeming) Fast of Austin TX, Mrs T (Debora Weeming) Stanley of Mt Pleasant and Sally Ann Weeming of Farmington Hills; one great-granddaughter, Sarah Latta of Wyoming, Mich; two sisters, Mrs Anton Timmer of Muskeegon and Mrs Ben TerHaar of Holland, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
  
  She was preceded in death by her parents, Adrian and Jane (Hoffman) Boone; two sisters, Ann Boone and Mrs B J Buikema, and two brothers, Dr C E Boone and John Boone.
  
  The funeral for Mrs DeJonge will be conducted at 3 pm Wednesday at the Alexander-Rye Funeral Home with the Rev William Collins officiating. Internment will be in Zeeland Cemetery, Zeeland.
  
  The family will be at the funeral home to receive friends from 2 to 4 and from 7 to 9 pm Tuesday. There will be an Eastern Star memorial service at the funeral home at 7:30 pm Tuesday.
  
  Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorials to either the Mason County Cancer Society or to the Community Church of Ludington. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
