He and his wife lived in San Francisco until about 1940 until the moved to Piedmont, Alameda. He initially worke in the company Goldtree Bros and later with Goldtree, Liebes and Co, the San Francisco branch, while his uncles Isaac and Morris ran Goldtree and Liebes Co. in Hamburg. After his wedding, he branched out in his own business and formed a partnership with Morris Marcuse – Marcus Goldtree Co. His brother Sydney August worked as a salesman in their company. Morris Nathan and Corinne had two daughters, Aimee and Janice Roberta, both born in San Francisco. By 1915, Morris Nathan and his brother Sydney August had formed a partnership – Goldtree Co, a knitted goods manufacturer at 50 Sansome St. in San Francisco.
Morris and Corinne continued their knitted goods business in San Francisco on 22 Battery St. until 1929. They moved to Piedmont in 1930 and Morris formed a partnership with Ernest Sturmthal for wholesale of women’s furnished goods under the business name ‘Benj. Sturmthal’, which he continued until his death.
