"MRS, HENRY SLEPER LAID TO REST SATURDAY
The funeral service for the remains of Mrs. Henry Sleper was held Saturday afternoon from the home in this city and at the Reformed church, the Rev. Wan. Everts officiating. A very large attendance of relatives and sympathizing friendswere present at the services.
Brief mention of Mrs. Sleper's death was made in the Tribune last week. Her illness was rather brief of only a few weeks. In the time of bereavement, words are inadequate to express the feeling of the dear ones, who are bereft a motherand companion. It is hard. She is gonebut not forgotten. Mrs. Sleper was a loving mother to her children who will so much miss her. She was a good neighbor, loved and highly respected in the community. Upon her bed of affliction, she was a patient sufferer. The bereaved have the sympathy of the entire community in their sorrow.
Mrs. Lena Sleper, nee Stickfort, was born in Ostfriesland, Germany, on Feb. 9, 1892, and died in Buffalo Center, Iowa, on April 18, 1934, at the age of 42 years, 2 months and 9 days. At the age of 11 years she came with her parents, whenthey came to America, and lived with them near Wellsurg, Iowa. It was there, on Feb. 10, 1910, that she was united in marriage to Henry Sleper. For 6 years Mr. and Mrs. Sleper lived in Kossuth County, then for seven years they lived atWisconsin Dells, Wis., after that moving back to Buffalo Center. The home of Mr. and Mrs. Sleper was blessed with 4 children, one of whom, Gertrude, preceded the mother in death when the girl was but 5 years old. Mrs. Sleper leaves tomourn her departure, her husand; three children: Tena, Loretta and Wayne; her parents: Mr. and Mrs. William Stickfort of Wisconsin; two brothers: Emil and Willie both of Wisconsin Dells; two sisters: Mrs. Reka Hiett Baraboo, Wis., andMrs. Thressa Kock of Grundy Center, Iowa; and a large number of other relatives and friends.
May God, Who is truly able, comfort the sorrowing relatives and friends.

Stickfort and son William Jr., of Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin; Mrs. Reka Hyatt of Baraboo, Wis.; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Koch and family of Grundy Center, Iowa; Mr. andMrs. Remmert Stickfort, Richard, John and Bena Stickfort of Holland, Iowa; Henry Sleper and three members of his family of Gary, South Dakota; Mr. and Mrs. Bill Winter and family of Winnebago, Minn." <>
