Rick Lee Nederhoff, 53, of Wellsburg, passed away on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa, of natural causes.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, January 28, 2013, at United Reformed Church in Wellsburg, Iowa, with Pastor Matthew Nuiver officiating. Burial will follow at Shiloh Cemetery in Wellsburg. Visitation will be held Sunday, January 27, 2013, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Doyen-Abels Funeral Home.
Rick Lee Nederhoff was born December 18, 1959 in Grundy Center, Iowa, to Willis and Rhea (Okones) Nederhoff. The family lived on a farm west of Wellsburg, where he attended school and graduated from Wellsburg High School in 1978. He worked as carpet and floor layer for many different companies over the years. He enjoyed playing golf, bowling, and family vacations to Lake Okoboji. Rick loved spending time with his family and friends especially with his son Braidyn.
He is survived by his son, Braidyn of Baldwin, WI; brothers, Mark Nederhoff and his wife Heidi of Wellsburg and Kent Nederhoff and his wife Darla of Wellsburg; sister, Lori Jungling and her husband Jay of Altoona; nieces and nephews, Stephanie, Melanie, Tiffanie, Cortanie, Whitanie, Taylor, and Shelbi Nederhoff, Klaire, Jack and Jodi Jungling.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
