"Henry Schol -- was a native of Tershelling, Holland. He married Trientje (Terese) Schaap in 1882. Five years later Mr. and Mrs. Schol and their four oldest children migrated to this country and settled on a farm in Sioux County, near Hull. In 1890 they moved to a farm northeast of George where they spent the next twenty-three years of their married life, then retired to George. Pictured are the sons. The top row are left to right: Andrew, known as Bill (married Dora Brouwer); Albert (married Clara Meyers); Peter (married Florence Mulder); Jacob, known as Jake (married Gertie Maria Van Woudenberg -- as a young man he had a cream station in George for a while); and seated, left to right: Cornelius (married Anna Modder); John (married Jennie [sic - Minnie] Siebrands).
