"William Siebrands -- the son of Peter Siebrands, was born in Freeport, Illinois, and in 1902 moved to the vacinity of George with his parents. In 1912 he married Minnie Goldhorn. They farmed northwest of George where Elmer Dangler now lives.
Their children were Peter (married twice, Gertrude Bos and Georgia Heidebrink); and Mae (Mrs. Henry Kruse)."

"SIEBRANDS, WILLIAM - MINNIE GOLDHORN
William, the son of Peter and Wiena Modder Siebrands, farmed northwest of George. He married Minnie, who was the daughter of Ben and Margaret Harms Goldhorn. Their children attended school here.
Their son, Peter, married Gertrude Buss and after her death, Georgia Heidebrink. Daughter, Mae, married Henry Kruse and following his death, she married John Folkema.
The family attended Hope Reformed Church."

"William Siebrands 1889 - 1973
Dec. 17, 1889 -- Feb. 28, 1973
William Siebrands was born December 17, 1889 at Freeport, Illinois, to Peter and Wienia (Modder) Siebrands.
At the age of 12 the family moved to the vicinity of George, where he lived the rest of his life.
On October 23, 1912 he was united in marriage with Minnie Goldhorn. Mr. and Mrs. Siebrands observed their 60th wedding anniversary last Oct. To this union two children were born, Peter and Mae. Upon their retirement Mr. and Mrs. Siebrands continued to live on their farm place 1½ miles west of George.

Although Mr. Siebrands was able to be up and about he did not enjoy good health for quite a number of years. He was admitted to the hospital on February 19. His condition became worse each day until he passed away on Wednesday, February 28 at 1:30 P.M., having reached the age of 83 years, 2 months and 11 days. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, and 1 infant grandson.
He is survived by his wife; by his son, Peter W. Siebrands of La Crescenta, California, by a daughter, Mrs. Henry (Mae) Kruse of George, by a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Georgia Siebrands, and by a son-in-law, Henery Kruse, by three grandchildren: Dwayne Siebrands, Alan Siebrands of Amboy, Minnesota, and Pamela Siebrands of George, a sister, Mrs. Annie Heeren, of Little Rock, Iowa.
Mr. Siebrands was a member of the Hope Reformed Church, having united with this church in 1914. [ View His Service Folder ]
