Margret was the Daughter of August Colberg and Johanna "Ida" Wunglueck. Her death certificate and head stone list her date of birth as 1893, but her birth certificate lists it as 1891, so I used 1891 here. Her parents were born in/near Berlin Germany and immigrated to the US in the 1870s. As a teenager she had a job as a clerk in a dry goods store. Her older sister worked in a garment factory (sweat shop). She married Robert Leslie White on August 31, 1918, in Chicago. They had two sons Robert Seymour (memorial #37203056) and Leslie George (memorial #153177782) and were long time residents of Park Ridge, IL at 800 S. Prospect.

Margret's father (August) was a baker by trade. When he first arrived in Chicago, he was unable to get work as a baker and spent time as a teamster and a laborer at the Chicago stock yards. He would eventually get work as a baker.

Her older brother Emil, was a corporal in Company C, 12th Machine Gun Battalion fought for the US in WWI and received a "Citation for Distinguished and Exceptional Gallantry. During the war he was gassed with Mustrad Gas and that was the cause of his death in 1925.

Following Margret's death, her husband Leslie remarried. Upon his death, his second wife buried him in her family plot. Leslie has a head stone next to Margret, but he is not interned there.
