"MRS. HERMAN GREVES IS DEAD

Mrs. Herman Greves passed away Sunday, June 22, at Vincent Hospital, Sioux City, after submitting to an operation.

Deceased was born in Germany on February 4, 1879, being 40 years of age at her death. She leaves a family of three children, two daughters and one son, besides her husband and other relatives to mourn her demise.

Seldom has it been our duty to record so sudden a death. A dark gloom overspead over the community when it was whispered from one to another Sabbath afternoon that Mrs. Herman Greves was gone.

Mrs. Greves' sickness was of a brief duration. Seemingly with us today, active in life's round of duty and love, but gone tomorrow.

Funeral serv ices were held from the Presbyterian church in Wall Lake this afternoon conducted by Rev. Carnahan and interment was made at the Wall Lake cemetery.

We extend our sympathy to the bereaved relatives, and will endeavor to publishe a more complete obituary next week."

"WALL LAKE June 23 (Special to the resort). - Word was received here Sunday night that Mrs. Herman Greve, who underwent an operation at the Lutheran hospital at Sioux City last Friday for the removal of gall stones, had passed away 4 o'clock Sunday afternoon. Mrs. Greve was in her fortieth year and is survived by her husband, four children, Arthur, Edna, Rose, and William, the oldest 16 years and the youngest 5 years old; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Kreis; five brothers and three sisters. The The [sic] funeral was not held until Thursday, pending the arrival of relatives from Wisconsin and Illinois. Much sympathy is felt for the family in their bereavment."
