OBITUARY: "James McQuillin, son of John and Elizabeth McQuillin was born April 16, 1861 near Delta, Ohio, and answered the call of his heavenly Father to his reward in Heave, January 29, 1930, aged 68 years, 9 months, 18 days. On February 26, 1887 he was united in marriage to Miss Anna McQuillin of Waterville, Ohio and to this untion six children were born to brighten their home. Four daughters, Mabel, Dinis [sic], Rea Schmitz, of Delta; Ethel Keller, Cleveland; Oneta Robinson. Two sons, Wallace McQuillin, and T.L. McQuillin Los Angeles, California. James spent his entire life around his birth place. Soon after establishing a home of his own he gave his heart and life to Jesus, who he faithfully followed and served until God called him home. He first united with Poppel Grove U.B. church but 23 years ago he with his family moved to Delta, he transferred his membership to the First U.B. church at Delta, where he remained a faithful member all his active life, which was of the highest type of character. Those left to mourn his going are a loving and faithful companion, six children, 23 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, 3 brothers, William Ellis and Frank, all of Delta, one sister, Mrs. N.H. Ward of Fayette. Father, mother and brother John preceded him in death. 'Father before thee God we humbly bow, Seeking they grace to show us how That we might be to others as thou hast been to us, Leading them to the One of Righteousness. Yes, the ties here are broke But dear to our hearts are the words you have spoken. We shall remember them as a token And may your Saviour help us to make The family in heaven unbroken.'"
