"Rites Held for Mrs. Frank Grimes Sunday, Nov. 4
Funeral services were held for Mrs. Frank Grimes of Buffalo Center on Sunday, November 4 at 2:00 p.m. at the Congregational Church with the Rev. Bernard Samuels officiating.
Pallbearers consisted of Henry Bronleewe, Chris Friis, Fred Harms, Earl Murray, Clarence Heitland and Amos Wempen and interment was at the Graoeland cemetery at Buffalo Center with the Winter Funeral Service in charge.
Mrs. Frank Grimes passed away early Thursday afternoon November 1 at the Buffalo Center Hospital after several weeks of illness.
Mrs. Georgia Grimes was born November 26, 1881 to Martha and David Pink on a farm near Hampton, Iowa. When a young girl the family moved to a farm southwest of Buffalo Center. Mrs. Grimes taught in the rural schools for a number ofyears. She was a member of the Congregational Church.
On April 5, 1905 she was united in marriage to Frank C. Grimes. To this union four children were born, two sons and two daughters.
She was a devoted mother who always took time to listen and visit with her children. Her grandchildren loved her dearly and they were her pride and joy.
Her husband, Frank, preceded her in death by two years. Due to failing health she made her home with Mrs. Elizabeth Jutting where she enjoyed good care, companionship and many pleasant hours with her friends and the many kind neighbors.
There remains behind to mourn her passing two daughters, Martha, Mrs. Estel Budd of Springfield, Ohio and Harriet, Mrs. Harold Norris of Jacksonville, Illinois; two sons, David and Francis, both of Buffalo Center; a brother, John Pink;and eleven grandchildren and other relatives." <>
