Casketbearers were Kim Davids, Rodney Wubben, Jeffrey Doyle, Marlyn Relief son, Lowell Solberg and Dallas Robinson. Mrs. Irven Olsen was the organist and Rosemary Brackey and Jan Block sang.
Alice Evelyn Hagenson was born April 24, 1903 at Watkins, the daughter of John and Anna (Tvedt) Solberg. She attended schools at Radcliffe, McCallsburg and near Neils where she graduated from the eighth grade. She attended WaldorfCollege for her high school and attended college at Cedar Falls for one term. She taught school around fifteen years. She later was a cook in a cafe and in the Thompson School.
Alice married Arthur Hagenson August 25, 1925 at the First Lutheran Church in Albert Lea, Minnesota. In 1945 they moved to Thompson where she was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church and was active until she broke her arm.
Survivors include two sons, Duane and wife Verlie of Poway, California and Keith and wife Shirley of Buffalo Center; one sister, Clarice of Forest City, five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two brothers, Porter and Donald Solberg."
