Death of T. DeBoer
The death of Ted DeBoer of German township, which occurred last Thursday afternoon from old age, removes from that township one of its oldest settlers and pioneers. Mr. DeBoer had been ailing for several years but not until lately didold age tell upon his physical system. Mr. DeBoer was born in Louquet, Germany, and came to this country when a young man. He has been a resident of German township for many years where he raised a large family and built a home. He wasnearly 85 years of age at the time of his death. He was a consistent member of the German Reformed Church of German township to which faith he adhered to from childhood. Funeral services were held at the Reformed Church last Sundayconducted by the pastor Rev. W. T. Janssen. Interment took place at the church cemetery. He was well known to the old settlers of the township but in late years had been away from home but little. He leaves a large family to mourn hisloss and a host of friends who will regret to hear of his demise. The community in general sympathizes with the family in their late bereavement." <>
