"Anna Ruth Johnson, 81
Funeral services for Anna Ruth Johnson, 81, were held on Wednesday, March 31, 1:30 p.m. at Bethany E & R Church in Ledyard with Rev. Larry Doughan officiating. Interment was at Highland Home Cemetery in Ledyard with Whiter Funeral Homein charge of arrangements. Organist was Marion Brandt and soloist was Wanda Blome. Casketbearers were Dennis Johnson, Dennis Weringa, Alan Johnson, Dennis J. Weringa, Richard Heyes, and Marvin Heyes. Anna Ruth Johnson, daughter of Dickand Lucy (Ubben) Heyes, was born February 19, 1918, near Titonka, Kossuth County. She graduated from Buffalo Center High School.

"the Ramsey Reformed Church parsonage near Titonka. Together they farmed at Gerled for five years and spent 43 years together on their last farm near Ledyard. They retired from farming in 1973 and in 1989 they moved into Ledyard.
Anna passed away Sunday, March 28, 1999 at Timely Mission Nursing Home in Buffalo Center.
She is survived by her sister, Grace Johnson of Lakota; three sisters-in-law: Ann Walterman of Fairmont, Minnesota; Sylvia Heyes of Buffalo Center, Ella Heyes of Mason City, and many nieces and nephews.
