Marjorie Adams Weds Kiester Young Man

The Congregational church of Buffalo Center was the scene of a beautiful wedding .Sunday, June 5, at 3:00 p.m., when Miss Marjorie Adams became the bride of Dean Mutschler, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Mutschler of Kiester, Minnesota. Thedouble ring ceremony was read by Rev. John D. Engels.

The altar was decorated with ferns and baskets of peonies. White satin bows marked the church pews. Lois Hartman played the nuptial music and accompanied Janice Feldick, as she sang, "Because" before the ceremony and "The Lord's Prayer"during the ceremony.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, Mr. Harry Adams, wore a floor length gown of lace over satin with a fitted bodice and long sleeves that came to a point at her wrists. The full skirt had a fan shaped insert in front of pleatednylon net. Her fingertip veil was trimmed with lace and held in place with a crown of pearls. Her jewelry was a pearl necklace and earrings, a gift of the bridegroom. Her bouquet was of yellow roses which she carried on a white Bible.

Miss Sharon Adams attended her sister as maid of honor. She was gowned in an ice blue nylon shantung of ballerina length, styled with a fitted bodice and full skirt. Her colonial bouquet was of yellow and white carnations.

Miss Velma Mutschler, of Minneapolis, Minnesota, sister of the bridegroom, was bridesmaid. Her gown was styled identical to that of the maid of honor and she carried a colonial bouquet of white and yellow carnations. Both attendants worepearl necklaces, gifts of the bride.

Jean Johnson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy B. Johnson, gowned in a floor length gown of yellow nylon with a full tiered skirt, was flower girl. She carried a basket of flower petals which she dropped on the white carpet ahead of thebride.

The bridegroom was attended by his brother, Dale Mutschler. Groomsman was Richard Adams, brother of the bride. The men in the wedding party wore light colored suits with white carnation boutonnieres.

Ushers were Jerry Winter of Rake, cousin of the bride, and Raymond Olson of Thompson, a friend of the bridegroom.

Mrs. Adams wore a light blue the dress with white accessories and Mrs. Mutschler wore an aqua dress with white accessories. Both had corsages of pink carnations.

A reception for 125 guests was held in the church parlors following the ceremony. The bridal table was decorated in the bride's chosen colors of blue and yellow and centered with a three tiered wedding cake topped with, a miniature brideand groom.

Miss lone Winter of Chicago Illinois registered the guests. Mrs Carl Jensen, aunt of the bride, cut and served the cake assisted by Mrs. Raymond Olson, Thompson. Mrs. Walter Mutschler, aunt of the bridegroom, poured. Mrs. Tom Rich, PatsyFriesenborg and Mrs. Harold Leibrand had charge of the gifts. Mrs. Ray Balvance acted as dining room hostess. The waitresses were Marlene DeBoer, Ruth Bosma, Janell Heitland and Myrth Akkerman.

For going away the bride wore a pink dress with white accessories and the corsage from her bridal bouquet.

The new Mrs. Mutschler is a graduate of the Buffalo Center High School and has been employed the past four years as bookkeeper at the Johnson Hatchery. Mr. Mutschler graduated from the Kiester, Minnesota high School and served two yearsin the U. S.| Army. The newlyweds will be at home on a farm near Kiester after a week's wedding trip."

"MARGORIE ANN MUTSCHLER

Marjorie Ann Mutschler, age 90 of Kiester, MN died Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at Parkview Care Center in Wells, surrounded by her family. Visitation will be Sunday, Dec. 29, 2024 from 2-5 p.m. and will continue one hour prior to the service on Monday (10:-11 a.m.). The Funeral service will be Monday, Dec. 30, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Nasinec Funeral Home in Wells. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery in Kiester.

Marjorie Ann was born April 4, 1934 to Harry and Eva (Winter) Adams at Buffalo Center, [IA] where she grew up. She graduated from Buffalo Center High School in 1951 and worked as a bookkeeper for a few years. On June 5, 1955 she was united in marriage to Dean Mutschler of Kiester at the Congregational Church in Buffalo Center. The couple worked together farming the family farm until 1993 when they retired but continued to live on the farm. They were the parents of one son, Robert Dean.

Marjorie was a member of Open Doors United Methodist Church-Kiester, the UMW and Ruth Circle. She enjoyed reading, quilting and puzzles.

She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Edith Mutschler of Bricelyn, MN; grandsons: Perry (Dana) Mutschler of Wells, Marcus (Stacy) Mutschler of Cleveland, MN, Harold"
