"Buffalo Center, Iowa. they farmed in the Buffalo Center area for fifteen years until buying a farm two miles west of Titoonka in 1945. They moved to that farm ijn March of that year. they farmed until Ted passed away August 2, 1966.Emma remained on the farm until March of 1967 when she moved into Titonka. In April of 1977 Emma entered the Titonka Care Center, making her home there until her death on November 4, 1988.
Ted and Emma had two daughters, Marlene and Judy.
MARLENE married Edward Uken September 25, 1955. They farmed west of Titonka, Iowa. Two sons were born to them, Gary and Leslie.
JUDY married Lamont Junkermeir April 7, 1967. They purchased the farm that Ted and Emma owned. They still live and farm there. They have two children, Tracy and Troy."

Funeral services for Emma J. DeBoer, 76, were held Monday, Nov. 7 at the Titonka United Methodist Church with the Rev. Don Lovejoy officiating. Mrs. DeBoer passed away at the Titonka Care Center of natural causes Friday, Nov. 4, 1988.
Burial was in the Buffalo Township Cemetery with the Garry-Roberts-Murphy-Schaaf Funeral Home of Titonka in charge of arrangements.
Active casket bearers were Louis Krull, George Uken, Bruce Kitzinger, David Kitzinger, Richard Trunkhill and Douglas Mechler.
Honorary casketbearers were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren Gary Uken, Leslie Unken, Tracy Junkermeier, Troy Junkermeier, Andrea Uken and Allison Uken.
Emma Juanita Adams was born on January 5, 1912 in Lyon County, Iowa to Henry B. and Ella L. Mulder Adams. She received her education in the rural Buffalo Center school systerm.
On December 23, 1930, Emma was united in marriage to Ted DeBoer, Jr. at Buffalo Center, Iowa. They farmed near Buffalo Center for 15 years before moving to a farm southwest of Titonka, Iowa in 1945. Emma and Ted farmed there until Teddied in August of 1966.
Emma moved into Titonka in March of 1967. Whe was a member of the Titonka United Methodist Women. She enjoyed her grandchildren, and enjoyed visiting with people. Emma liked to travel and enjoyed watching sports on her television.
In April of 1977, Emma became a resident of the Titonka Care Center.
She is survived by her daughters, Marlene Uken and Judy Junkermeir and husband, Lamont of Titonka. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Gary Uken and wife Linda, Leslie Uken, Tracy and Troy Junkermeier and two great grandchildren,Andrea and Allison Uken. Emma is also survived by three brothers, Harry Adams of Thompson, Iowa and Earling and Alfred Adams, both of Rochester, Minnesota.
Emma was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ted, two sisters, Lillian Jensen and Marie Adams and two brothers, Edward and Howard Adams."
