"Grace G. Wubben, 80
Funeral services for Grace G. Wubben, 80, of Buffalo Center were held Monday morning, November 21 at 10:30 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Buffalo Center with Rev. James Brygger officiating. Interment was in Olena Mound Cemetery with Winter Funeral Service in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Wubben passed away Thursday, November 17 after a lengthy illness.
Casketbearers were Bruce Wubben, Rodney Wubben, Richard Wubben, Neil Wubben, Clyde Honken and Leslie Wubben. Mrs. Vera Bronleewe was the organist and music was by Bruce Wubben, Neil Wubben and Mary Behrends accompanied by MervinGramstad.
Grace Gertie Green was born May 3, 1903, the youngest child of Sydney Green and Anna Okken Green, on a farm south of Buffalo Center where she spent her early years and attended the rural school.
She took teacher's training at Estherville, a branch of the Cedar Falls Teacher's College, after which she taught for several, years in the rural schools of the area. She was also a faithful teacher for the American Sunday School Unionfor many years.
In her youth she was baptized by George Siemens at the First Baptist Church in Swea City. She attended the First Baptist Church of Buffalo Center faithfully until her health failed. She was united in marriage to Fred Wubben on February 27, 1933. They farmed in Winnebago and Kossuth counties until the death of her husband in 1973 after which she made her home with her son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Clarice Wubben and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sisters and one brother.
She is survived by one sister, Anna Honken; two sons, Joseph and Sidney; two daughters-in-law, Clarice and Rosella; , three grandsons, two granddaughters and one great-grandson."

"Funeral Services Held November 2 For Fred Wubben
Funeral services for Fred Henry Wubben, 65, of Buffalo Center were held Friday afternoon, November 2, at 1:30 p.m. from the First Baptist Church in Buffalo Center. Rev, Duane Olson officiated at the services. Also participating In theservice was Mr. George Wolf, Associate with the American Sunday School Union. He and his wife have been longtime Mends of the Wubben family.
Winter Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements and Interment was to Olena Mound Cemetery. Pallbearers were Neil Wubben, Wayne Wubben, Leslie Wubben, Raymond Cline, Clarence Vowtmann and Clyde Honken.
Fred Wubben was born May 10, 1908, at Lincoln, Illinois to the late John and Elizabeth Wubben. He was married to Grace Green February 27, 1933, at BUffialo Center. He spent most of his life in the Buffalo Center area where he farmed. Hewas retired at the time of his death.
Mr. Wubben passed away Tuesday, October 30, at the Hancock County Memorial Hospital at Britt.
Survivors include his wife, Grace; two sons, Joe and Sidney, both of Buffalo Center; four grandchildren; two brothers, Martin of Buffalo Center and Haemon of Bnicelyn, Minnesota and nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceding him in death were his parents, one brother and an infant sister."

Note: Fred is the eldest son of John & Lizzie, He moved with his father in 1912 and attended schools in Fenton and Wesley. In 1920 he moved with his father and stepmother to a farm 2 miles West and 4 miles South of Buffalo Center, Iowa.He and Grace were married in the Congregational Church Parsonage. He was a lifelong farmer and the farm is now owned by his son, Joe.
