Elwood, April 8 - A 17 year old husband and father, Neil Max Musselman, 1526 Q Street, was accidentally electrocuted while at his employment as a tree surgeon two miles southeast of Noblesville at 9 a.m. today.
Musselman is said to have been struck by a power line carrying 7,200 volts and was thrown about 14 feet from the tree.
Crew members of the Townsend Tree Service, a Munci firm by which he was employed, began application of artificial respiration to the injured young man while he was en route to the Hamilton County hospital at Noblesville but he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
C.M. Donahue, Hamilton County Coroner, investigated the tragedy.
The body was brought to the Copher and Fesler funeral home here to rest pending completion of funeral arrangements.
Surviving are: the widow, Betty; one daughter, Carol, his mother, Marie Musselman, Elwood; his father, Jacob Musselman, Anderson; two brothers, Robert Musselman, Noblesville and George of Elwood; and five sisters, Mrs. Louise Swinford, Fortville; Mrs. Maxine Ray, in Kansas; Mrs Mildred Fisher, Pendleton; and Mrs. Iona Heater and Mrs. Ruby Murray, of Elwood.
He was born in Indiana July 3, 1935 and married Betty Baker on April 27, 1951.
