LifeSketch: of the U. of Edinburgh in law, Alexander was an advocate and judge. By 1626 he was a Senator in the College of Justice for Scotland. Known as Lord Alexander later in life, he was appointed Lord of the Court of Sessions, i.e. chief justice, and also named Provost of the University.oop which he sailed out of Morrison's Haven near Prestongrange across the Firth of Forth. In August, 1610, he sued Patrick Grundison and others for vandalizing his boat "The Andro of Pittenween". He referred to them as "a grite number of rascallis and evil disposition personis."
