There is included a transcribed copy of William's will, where sister Hidgecocke is mentioned. William Warriner died in 1676, when she again married Sept. 17, 1678 in Milford, Mass., Joseph Baldwin of Hadley. Again becoming a widow she returned to Springfield where she died April 25, 1696." Luke was in New Haven as early as 1644 and may have married around that time. Elizabeth's brother was in Hartford as early as 1636. came from England as one of the original settlers of Springfield, Massachusetts in 1638. There is an outline of his life at this website: http://dunhamwilcox.net/source_files/warriner.htm. According to this source, William was the son of William Warriner and Alice Harvard, born in 1581 in Lincolnshire, Eng and died on 2 Jun 1676 in Springfield, Hampden Co., MA. His first wife was Johanna Searle, daughter of Thomas Searle and Agnes Unknown (Searle), and they married on 1 Jul 1639 in Springfield, Hampden Co., MA. (Johanna Searle was born in 1614 in England and died on 7 Feb 1660/61 in Westfield, Hampden Co., MA ). His will was probated 26 Sep 1676 in Springfield, Hampden Co., MA. His estate was divided by agreement between his three children, James, Joseph & Hannah, and his widow Elizabeth. Elizabeth received 1/2 of the estate during her life and the remaining half was split three ways between the children. There is an entire book written about William, "The Warriner family of New England origin. Being a history and genealogy of William Warriner, pioneer settler of Springfield, Mass., and his descendants embracing nine generations from 1638 to 1898," that can be found online here: https://archive.org/details/warrinerfamilyof00warr. Elizabeth is mentioned on page 15, where it says: "On October 2, 1661, he married Elizabeth, widow of Luke Hitchcock, of Wethersfield, Conn. She was the mother of Hannah, John, and Luke Hitchcock. She survived Mr. Warriner and became the third wife of Joseph Baldwin, of Hadley." ird wife of Joseph Baldwin in a book known as The Baldwin Genealogy (see page 479 here: https://archive.org/details/baldwingenealogy00bald.) Here specifically it says, "He m. 3rd, Elizabeth Hitchcock, widow of William Warriner, of Springfield. He died Nov. 2, 1684; his widow April 25, 1696." On page 1099 of the supplement to this book (see https://archive.org/stream/baldwingenealogy1889bald#page/1098/mode/2up) the same information is mentioned. ilies of Early Milford, Connecticut" that can be found on ancestry.com. In general, settlers of Milford with the last name of Baldwin are discussed between pages 14 and 60 and span many generations. Joseph is mentioned on page 27. According to this source, "Joseph died 2 November 1684 in Hadley, Mass. His will was dated 20 December 1680 and probated at Northhamton, Mass. He married /1 in High Wycomb Co. Bucks, England, 10 November 1636 Hannah Whitlock. He married /2 Isabel Northam, widow of James. She died 8 December 1676. He married /3 Elizabeth (Hitchcock) Warriner, widow of William. She died 25 April 1696. Joseph joined the church at Milford 23 June 1644 and his wife Hannah...He was given lot #52...About 1663 he removed to Hadley, Mass., a freeman there with his son Joseph. In the MLR he is called of Hadley, Mass., and he leaves to his sons Jonathan and David "all my accommodations in Milford." ced book about the Hitchcock family - John starting on page 208 and Luke starting on page 407. Unfortunately Hannah is only mentioned briefly. early history of Hatfield, South Hadley, Amherst and Granby, Massachusetts..." page 234, we find the following: "In 1687, widow Baldwin was poor and infirm, and the town voted, March 3rd, that she should be removed from house to house...and remain a fortnight in each family...Joseph Baldwin, Senior and Junior, each left a widow, and it was one of these widows that was to board "round the town" of Hadley. Both removed to Springfield, where they had relatives." Researcher David Kendall Martin, in his article, "Joseph Baldwin, Jr. of Milford, Connecticut, and Hadley, Massachusetts," published in The New England Historical and Genealogical Register, January, 2002, volume 156, page 103, indicates his reasons why he believes this entry was referring to Sarah Coley Baldwin, and not Elizabeth Gibbons Hitchcock Warriner Baldwin.
