LifeSketch: Jennie M McDonald was the biological daughter of Nicholas McDonald and Mary Ann "Polly" Fall. After the death of her father during the Civil War, her mother gave her to her father's niece, Catherine Dox Hogan and husband, Joseph Hogan, to raise. Jennie was then raised in Chicago, Illinois. She married Tuthill King Ross. After his death she married the famed Civil War photographer, J Birney Linn. She did not have children but was a grand lady of Chattanooga Tennessee where she died.
