LifeSketch: Daniel Prentice was born ca 1740, place unknown, but lived in Virginia most of his life. There are sparse documents recording his family life. However, beginning ca 1764, Daniel Prentice did leave behind a significant paper trail for his property, which name his wife Isabel. Around 1790 Daniel sold his property and moved further south and west to the area known for a short time as the State of Franklin, now eastern Tennessee. This information was recorded in the sale deed of the 1790 transaction. His death was not formally recorded but the end of the record trail places the most likely timeframe ca 1805.
