LifeSketch: Thomas WRIGHT, a well-known and respected citizen of Jackson Township, passed away March 1, 1906 at his home one mile north of Robinson. He was born in 1856, not far from the house where he died, and at the time of his death was 50 years of age. In 1876 he was united in marriage to Miss Celia HARDESTY, also of Jackson Township, and to this union were born eleven children—seven sons and four daughters—of whom two sons and one daughter died in infancy. About fifteen years ago he united with the M.E. Church at Koleen and remained a faithful and devoted member of that congregation until about twelve months ago when he united with the Latter Day Saints, remaining a steadfast member until his death. He was taken sick of bronchial pneumonia Sunday, Feb. 18, and grew rapidly worse until death came to his relief. Just before the end came he called his family to his bedside and bade each an affectionate farewell and told them that all was well and that he was going home. Then he spoke to his wife concerning the welfare of their three younger children, after which he sang a part of the hymn, "We're Going Home to Die No More," then sank into a peaceful sleep and expired an hour later. The funeral services were held from the family residence conducted by Elder Thomas WILES, after which the remains were laid to rest in the Robinson Cemetery. A host of friends and relatives attended the funeral to pay their last tribute of respect to the departed.
