LifeSketch: Joseph R. Wilson Jr studied in the several colleges where his father taught in North Carolina, Virginia and Tennessee. He attended S.W.P.U. and lived with his parents at Second St and Munford Ave. He was a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. In his early life Joe followed his family's traditional work of printing. He was the editor and publisher of the paper Progress Democrat in Clarksville for a short time. Later he Joined the staff of the Nashville Banner and in time became City Editor. I9I3 he went with the Maryland Casualty Co and a little later with the United States Fidelity and Guarantee Co in Baltimore, onr of the largest of the casualty insurance companies. He was the manager of their Promotion and Development Department and remained with this company until his death. They made their home in Baltimore Md.
