Notities over Sarah Boone Hext

Sarah Hext was only fourteen years old when married. By the age of 27 she had 10 children and then was a widow. Dr John Rutledge left his estate to her. The estate consisted of a number of plantations , a house in town and a large amount of money. She over saw the plantations, raised her children, and saw that they were educated here and abroad. She was imprisoned during the Revolution was by the British because they felt she was a threat.
