After James' death, Sarah married (11/4/1725) Etienne Tauvron, the father of the original John LaRoche's first wife. This was her late husband's great uncle by marriage. The LaRoche tendency to jumble the generations began quite early. However, there may not have been such a tremendous age gap. One must remember that the original James LaRoche was probably a number of years older than his brother John. John's father-in-law could have been born as late as 1675 and actually been younger than his son-in-law who was about 40 before he married. Still, this would have made Etienne 25 years Sarah's senior.
